Åndalsnes, Norway - by Matt Iruuska
Arbeidsbåt “Soren Madsen,” Åndalsnes, Møre og Romsdal, Norge, 1972.
Not sure what this boat was being used for. In 1972 Norway’s offshore oil boom had just started, and it may have had some links to that activity. In any case it was docked at the port in the town far up the fjord, the town where the rail line from Oslo (and beyond) ends.
ON THE ROAD!
Bergen | Ålesund | Åndalsnes | Molde | Bud | Kristiansand | Trondheim | Lillehammer.
We drove during long hours during this road trip. But driving aroung Norway is definitely stunning! We saw so many different and incredible landscapes (Mountains, Beaches, Sea, Lakes, Fjords...) and so many different weathers because Norway is fuckin bipolar (rain, sun, rain, wind, fog, sun, rain, rainbow, snow, snow storm, hail, sun...). We never get bored, everything is so different.
We drove through the famous Atlantic road (first picture) and the view was absolutly amazing!
The only drawback: when you are driving on the west coast; you have to take a lot of ferries and that’s really expensive...
