After finishing up with the animal chores (and feeding these kids like 17 times), headed to garden 1. Spilanthes, borage, calendula, chamomile picked and weeded; set up to dry. Baby beets are peeking up through their cabbage loves; weeded. Lettuces round 1 are nearing ready, needed a good weeding. Final peppers and 'maters are in. Peas are picked (and eaten) by the pixie princess and her half moon. Sunsets and garden tending finishing up at 9:30pm with 2 small humans. Now I get to attempt to clean a layer off of the house. #ineedamaid #andananny Someone recently said "*if*shes really doing all that, POOR WOMAN!"; insinuating 1. I'm just sitting around looking pretty (clearly she hasn't taken a solid look at the baggage under my eyes and my god awful hands) and 2. that, should I be doing it, I am somehow punished by it? Well, yes, it's damn hard. But, if you really know me... if I had an entire crew doing *this, I would be working on something else. I don't sit still unless I'm asleep. I love using my hands and creating. I LOVE growing, raising, foraging food because I LOVE feeding people, so this feeds my soul. So, dear person, I am not a "poor woman". I am strong (in so many ways) and capable and, yes, actually doing it, and doin' it, and doin' it well... 🎤✌🏻😉 (at Bee Wild - Violet Hill Farm)
