yEAH OK IM BACK TO WRITE THE LONG READ MORE ABOUT THE CONCERT ps this has a lot of irrelevant details that were important/funny to me so i've included them bye
IF THERE'S ONE CONCERT I WOULD RECOMMEND ANYBODY GO TO WHETHER YOU LIKE THEM OR NOT IT'S A VAMPIRE WEEKEND CONCERT OH YM GOD
OK SO I got to the venue at like 2:50 and expected for there to be a few people in line already but whenever i got there it was just a girl and her mom??? (which turned out to be Olympia shapedheartache!! it was so cool bc I was snapchatting Bethany therealct1 whilst in line and she told me that Olympia was there and I rECOGNISED OLYMPIA BUT I DIDN'T KNOW FOR SURE IF IT WAS HERE?? and then Olympia turned around and said 'r u burghostkoenig' and i was like 'heck yeah!!' anyway it was cool)
nobody got there until like 4:30 or 5????? it was really weird even to the box office lady bc she was like 'yeah people usually start lining up like 7 hours before the show' and then i saw these rly cool-lookin girls roll up and i went to go check out the back exits to see where the tour bus was most likely going to be parked and when i came back to the line one of the aforementioned girls comes up to me and asks me if i'm veronica and turns out it'S NONE OTHER THAN OLIVIA ANDHARRY I WAS SECRETLY FANGIRLING ON THE INSIDE AND THAT'S REALLY EMBARRASSING BUT ANYWAY and then Mary Layne spookybulbasaur was there too and I was like 'do we all follow each other here' so Mary Layne gave me her phone so I could see if we followed each other and I realised wHO SHE WAS AND I WAS LIKE 'OH YOU'RE YOU YOU'RE THE PERSON OH OK' anyway
the drummer from The Olms (the band that was opening for VW) came out and gave us bottles of water it was so cool! that was so nice of him wow
ffwd like an hour??? or so and it was 7 already so they started letting us in and SOME BITCH-ASS PUNKS WERE TRYING TO CUT IN LIKE AND I WAS READY TO GO OFF ON THEM BUT they didn't get in front of us he he anyway so we all got in and we were all fumbling with our wristbands and trying to get to the next entrance thing as quickly as possible so we all ran and then whenever we got to the stairs to get to the actual pit I got pushed against the security guard's lil area????? and Olivia and Mary Layne and I got separated and I was freaking out bc I couldn't see an open spot on the barricade but then I found Olivia again and she'd gotten barricade!!!! good job girl so that was that
then The Olms started playing and their bassist had the fricking weirdest mustache eVER and he kept randomly staring at certain people in the crowd wow it was really weird.... but they were good!! I really liked one of their songs and I have to look it up because it was a surprisingly good song
so after they played there was like a 30 minute intermission which was actually a 45 minute intermission because those punks are always late as fuk but then THE LIGHTS WENT OFF AND THEY PLAYED THEIR SUPER AWESOME INTRO THING OH MY GOD IT WAS SO EXCITING
ROSTAM CAME OUT ON STAGE FIRST AND THEN EZRA THEN CT THEN BAIO AND THEY WERE SO PRECIOUS WOW IT WAS INCREDIBLE!!! BAIO WAS SO CLOSE TO ME GOOD GOD
,WOW IT WAS SO GOOD!!!!! BAIO IS SO FUCKING HOT IN PERSON GOOD LORD AND CT DID THE THING WHERE HE LEANS BACK ON HIS SEAT AND LIKE JUST HITS ONE DRUM AND WOW I'D LONGED TO SEE THAT AND IT WAS JUST INCREDIBLE
THERE WERE PARTS WHERE BAIO WOULD GET NEAR CT AND FACE HIM AND SHAKE HIS HIPS AND CT WAS LAFFIN WOW IT WAS PRECIOUS
CT IS FUCKING HOT OH MY GOD AND EZRA IS SO SKINNY GOOD LORD BOY
ANYWAY HIGHLIGHTS OF THE CONCERT FOR ME WERE STEP OBV, CALIFORNIA ENGLISH WOW I WAS SO FUCKING EXCITED WHEN THEY PLAYED CALIFORNIA ENGLISH I WAS NOT EXPECTING IT AT ALL OH MYGO DDDD, A-PUNK WAS SO FUN!!!!!!, BOSTON WAS GREAT OH MY GOD, YA HEY OF COURSE, HANNAH HUNT WAS MUTHAFUCKIN SPIRITUAL OKAY, AND WALCOTT OH MY GOD WALCOTT WA LC OT T WALC TOOT WOW
I WAS REALLY SAD THEY DIDN'T PLAY DIPLOMAT'S SON!!!!! OR BLAKE'S BUT I DIDN'T RLY EXPECT BLAKE'S BUT I WAS EXPECTING DIPLOMAT'S SON AND THEY DIDN'T PLAY IT HASHTAG HEARTBROKEN
BAIO AND I MADE EYE CONTACT LIKE SIX HUNDRED TIMES IM NOT EVEN JOKING AND THEN HE THREW HIS PICK IN MY GENERAL DIRECTION AND THE GIRLS BEHIND ME CAUGHT IT AW MAN I WAS SO SAD
THEN OLIVIA GOT IN THIS CRAZY FIGHT OVER CT'S DRUMSTICK BUT IT WAS WORTH IT BC SHE GOT HALF OF IT!!!!
when it was over we went to the merch table and I got the Vampire Weekend CD and a set of pins!!! they're so cute wow :~)
I went to the back to meet them but they didn't come out???? :( i was so sad wow they just left after the concert but when Ezra was getting on the bus he waved at us

fucking baio wow i keep remembering that
all in all it was the best fricking night ever and it was so worth it and now I'm so hoarse but it's ok bc i have a little piece of wood off of ct's drumstick
