“wanna cross the finish together” because before buffy would just run ahead(in season one and three)//and then “half way there” is like half way in the race, the metaphor to cross the finish line, or relationship,//and then “hold me”, and he’s picking her up//“are you lonely?” Buffy tells him to go //“you seem so lonely” he’s walking away from her//“ill be the only dream you seek” but this time he won’t leave her//“come be lonely with me” at the end they walk off together
