I'm just curious, is El's story a mix of both ultra sun/moon and the original?

I will admit I do think lusamine was more evil in the first game which I prefer, honestly was kinda surprised that nintendo went thag dark, with like the freezing pokemon and while perfectionist thing, loved it, but I also loved, if not adored the world building ultra sun and moon got,

I'm just wondering if El's universe is set somewhere in between?

It’s purely Sun and Moon-based!  But I do like to include some minor elements from USUM or the anime (,even the manga) from time to time, those that feel natural to be part of the Sun/Moon universe as well. Like some character designs of the Team Skull grunts for example (from the anime), some Alolan customs/background information or minor character information. As little as USUM changed the main narrative of the game, the little it did sTILL had a huge impact on character motivations and portrayals of people like Lusamine and also Guzma, which I am a bit conflicted about tbh. USUM tried hARD to turn Lusamine into some kind of anti-hero, completely overlooking her very obvious flaws and giving Guzma no reason to abandon her. The Necrozma-showdown was epic, but I feel like the story could have been executed better. It’s a shame they didn’t make it a sequel instead or at least went all out on the concept of alternate universes.

So yeah, El’s story plays in the Sun/Moon universe, if we wanna be SUPER precise it’s the Moon-version, so Nebby turned into Lunala :D

How does one anatomy <~> I struggle mostly with same face syndrome and proportions most of the time and I struggle with perspective any chance for some tips?

now that a pretty hard ask,but a fun one. 

studying anatomy helps alot, but its something that varies heaps,, with my stuff i go crazy for edge and shape flow, (got some quick sketches for example)

now this hopefully comes across with what im trying to say,, 

so with the full body stuff i generally have 1-2 flow lines that the body follows to, one for the head/neck and the other for the body/tail,, this also helps me in getting a small bit of the perspective that i want but thats also something i struggle hard with too. 

its something that took me ages to work on and notice myself and then push it to where its now. and if you even able to get a sculpting program like blender/mudbox/zbrush sculpting the basic shapes of what you want helps and even can help shift the mind set of how things slot together taking us into

Shape Flow, and thats just the ins and outs and silhouette of the character, and thats a real fun one cause if want to keep it simple, its putting shapes together

now this looks pretty weird and hopefully is helpful, and i hope im not rambling, but is pretty much how i see the basics of *breaking down into shapes* and going int the different types of *flows*

dark blue on the first figure is how i have my line flows and its something that i pick up by eye now,, then if im having trouble i go in with the sort of stick figure thing but also use the flow lines as a rough guide where its to the center of the figure like what a spine is.

then in the second, hopefully its a better visual of how my shape flow works with how it will pieces together and it also goes in hand with the line flow too 

and same face is a hard too, i was pretty guilty of that too and is why i like the more cartoony feel with my stuff, but its also playing around with the shapes and features. dont be afraid of going over the top, cause you can always pull it back. (same with bodies too kek,) but theres a heap of tuts out there that can help and you can pick an pull bits from all of them and make you own one from it,, 

(doing that can help with better figuring out your own process of doing X and you may even find a better way the second time round when you go back and follow it again)
