I didn't know.... I went up for bedtime prayers and snuggles in the top bunk(Gehren's bed)and I saw it.... He had a bunny picture Quorra had colored for him, a Sonic sticker(bc he's the fastest!)and a picture of him and his brother Gabe. My two boys. 22 and 8 this year. He said he prays for him...misses him. His wonderful little heart...did this all on his own. Taped the picture up there, to remember, to hang onto....to wait in this season of ache. I laid there...silent tears rolling down my cheeks. Unless you've been dealt a loss like this...unless a child is gone...it's hard to describe. He's 7...and he feels it. I gathered him in my arms...and said, "I like that picture, I love both of your smiles." He said, "I know mommy...it's okay, it'll be okay"...and my heart broke, and melted all at once. 4 girls. 2 boys. So much love, and so much pain....but always...ALWAYS worth it. #parenting #love #andloss #andhope #mybabies
