Sadder than words can hold And it hurts to know that I can’t make sense of these things in my head I lie in bed and remember when I used to lie with you. Because I love you And that will never change But things for some reason aren’t the same. And these unexplained feelings burn abrasions in my head They make me feel dead Because I know that the love I have for you is true And you love me too But life is crazy and I’m hoping just maybe I’ll be able to make sense of it all soon Because it tortures and chokes at me every second I wake. And I can’t fake that it seems the only salvation I get is when I sleep I’d sleep all day if I could Because then I’d have dreams of when things were good And things made sense And there was nothing to influence these new demons that have come in And shut me in.
