A twist of fate saw Andrea change tack again in 2011, when she began her first formal studies in visual art. Since then, she has had five solo exhibitions, and has taken part in numerous group exhibitions around Australia. In 2016, she was the first artist to ever be awarded a highly commended prize in the National still life painting prize, the EMSLA. Her paintings are in the Commonwealth Government's Artbank collection and she is a member of the National association of professional Portrait Artists.
