I could also write an essay about the mensch that is andreistrizek, but all you need to know is that about ten seconds after he moved to New York, when our original MD had to drop out of the show, he said yes without hesitation and has worked his little butt off ever since. He’s a tremendous collaborator, an artist I trust implicitly, and a close friend (whom I first met through fuckyeahstephensondheim!).
Also, Andrei would like me to ask you to follow him on Twitter: @andreistrizek

Take me with!!!
Sadly, most of the American Songbook press tix don't come with a +1 because the venue is so small and the concerts are so popular.

I just got tix to see it in Jan!
UGH
andreistrizek replied to your post:Any plans to see Here Lies Love soon or did I miss a post about it? I just went this week and it was UNREAL. You seem like a fan of the work the Public puts on usually.
Rush is $40, but you usually have to get in line around 4, tickets released at 7 for a 8pm performance. They have mezz seats too, but you miss out on the immersive aspect. I’ll go with you in October! :)
This is also where I'm torn, because I LOVE immersive stuff and know if I'm sitting up in the mezz I'll just feel left out of the party.
OK we can go but you have to stand in line for me and I'm wearing some awful full-support sneakers. :)

We were wondering about the instruments!!
I played trombone throughout high school and was pretty good at it. I took up banjo when I lived in LA but never got very far with it. I also took many years of piano lessons.

Wow. I forget to pay my bills *and* I don’t know what descaled means.
Descaling your coffee machine is a way of cleaning the works by running vinegar through the apparatus. You should do it at least twice a year to prevent your machine from getting full of gunk and eventually breaking.

I've always liked that piano part. It gives the song some forward momentum.
I don't know, to me it sounds like Hopalong Cassidy.
