Interesting...

Is the best way to describe Blues last night.. 

Don't get me wrong, the dancing was great! We had dancing from 7 until 11 at Firehouse 5, then there was an after party in a guy's garage for more dancing! Hehe, we stayed until 2. Woohoo for 7 hours of dancing! (X I met a few new leads during the night, which is always fun! And I got to dance with an amazing international dance teacher named Andrew Sutton! (: He was phenomenal, and he complimented me "effortless following", *passes out and dies.* Haha. It's really awesome though because I find myself dancing with some of the better, more popular leads and I'm actually able to keep up. And not just keeping up, I feel like I'm doing it well. It's a really great feeling; the best feeling actually. Ooh! And there were two leads that were so great. They completely emulated how I feel blues dancing should be. They let the music carry them; when the music had a wave, the dance would sort of crest along with it, and fall as the music hit the downbeat. It was so wonderful. They were those dances where you can just close your eyes, and set your breathing to the tempo of the music and not have to worry about anything else around you. It's beautiful... I really hope I get to dance with those guys again. 

But the interesting part is actually with a guy that came along with us in our car. Let's call him... Pete. Well, Pete has always been super flirty and stuff with me. To be honest though, he's like that with absolutely everyone he meets, no kidding. He also has this really harsh, rude personality that is a total turn off. Anyways, during our first dance, he dipped me and then kissed me on the cheek. I smiled, mainly because cheek kisses aren't that big of a deal and they're pretty flattering. After the dance though, he was getting all cocky because he thought that I enjoyed the kiss. Next thing I knew, he told me that he was going to actually kiss me the next time he dipped me. Stupid me said that I didn't believe him, so that made him want to prove me wrong. Lo and behold, the next time we danced, he totally kissed me... Now I was shocked. And he was cocky as hell. He kept trying to do it again and again throughout the night, and succeeded three times (unfortunately). The guy is really good at sneaking them in when you have your eyes closed. I stopped him on about 80% of his tries though. And nooowww he keeps texting me and bugging me about how much he likes me, and I'm making it painfully clear that I'm not interested, he won't quit though. Ahh whatever... It might be annoying, but it sure as hell makes for a good anecdote. (X
