Dess is trans 🤔 Idk if deltarune is strong willed enough to make it really explicit but i think it's there: general themes about presupposed roles, everyone remembering or even reducing dess to Missing Girl or Older Sister, Carol wanting everything to stay as it is (another prevalent theme) including Dess staying how Carol thinks she is,

And most importantly getting lost has transformed Dess for the "worse" because now it is characterized to be similar to the titans-- pure evil beings who just want to wreck shit. It's a stark contrast to the simplicity of the lovable rebellious older sister. (Carol can be the knight sure but her main motive is to keep everything the same WHY would she risk ending the world.. idk ab the other candidates tho)
