Happy #Archtober! The annual October celebration of architecture and design is the perfect time to highlight Andrew Leicester's “Ghost Series” at #PennStation. These terra cotta wall murals evoke elements from the façade of the original 1910 Pennsylvania Station building by McKim, Mead and White. Demolition of that building in 1963, triggered the #historicpreservation movement. Fragments of the old Penn Station remain hidden in the lower depths of the building that replaced it, and the #MTAArts murals depict architectural details lost in the destruction. #GhostSeries #AndrewLeicester
