SO now it’s time to talk about something interesting.....THE P4P5K
If none of ya’ll don’t go to a Propel Charter School or hasn’t even heard of the P4P5K, it’s a school wide event ONLY for Propel Charter schools and students and faculty members run/walk to raise awareness of gun violence. Propel is a chain of Charter Schools in the Pittsburgh area of Pennsylvania. NO.....I’m not from here, I just so happen to live here. I was born In New York and raised in Florida, but we moved here 5 years ago so my mom could marry my step-father. ANYWAY....Back to P4P5K!!! The 5K is 5 Kilometers (or 5 miles) and the event is held in a park, on a trail. Obviously, I ran in it today or I wouldn’t be talking about it. My running tag was number 165 and I think I came in 35th place out of 400-600, Which is really good considering there’s hundreds of people that attended. The Propel schools range from elementary, to middle, to High Schools, and as the years go on, the locations of multiple schools will expand. My brother( Not my blood brother, but I call him that because of how close we are), 3 of my best friends, and some other people went as well. Overall, it was a good day with good music and good vibes. I saw people from the MIddle School I promoted from (Yes, I know it’s weird to call it promoted when it’s technically called graduation, but that’s what they call it here in Pittsburgh) Maybe next year I’ll do a real 5K, like one for the city or something.
