ton-e is a very good robot baby boy and he has done NOTHING wrong hes is good and perfect and thats justs FACTS!!!!
sweet boy!!! perfect boy!!! has never done ANYTHING wrong in his ENTIRE life and only wants one (1) robot puppy and this is all his heart desires!!!! please love him!!!!!!!!

ok but: howard gives ton-e pain a) because he wants to see if he can,, and it’s an important part of learning,,,but also, very importantly, b) because he needs there to be Some kind of incentive for ton-e (whose primary state of being is Uncontrollable Curiosity) to stop taking himself apart to see how he works in front of human people, at dinner, who find it Extremely Distressing,

idk how you imagined ton-e aging, or if you planned that he would. but imagine howard keeps forgetting to upgrade him. when he was younger jarvis and maria would help him, but when he went off to boarding school he had to do it all by himself.
in my mind he’d look exactly the same all school year at boarding school, and would have to DIY it (very very carefully to the best of his ability) if anything got damaged, but then he’d go home for the summer and come back with the results of a Sudden Mandatory Growth Spurt that also affected like. How His Face Looks, weird, okay
MIT tho would definitely be a “hm weird someone took the fridge on our dorm floor apart and also tony is suddenly 3 inches taller” scenario. forges himself a sick note because he took his arm off to upgrade it and can’t for the life of him figure out how to get the dang thing back on,
ok but when steve first meets ton-e he’s wearing the armour,, steve meets him as iron man, and then 15 minutes later he steps out of the suit and steve’s like “oh!! this whole time i kinda thought you were a robot haha” and ton-e’s like *nervous hysterical laughter*
