4 Current Songs:

--"Paradise" by Tesla (I love the storytelling in the song, the opening lyrics--so much that I checked out the other acoustic versions of the song.) --"White Flag" by Dido (I found out about the song through a snippet in The Sopranos and I couldn't stop listening to it. It reminds me of some of Hooverphonic's music) --"Sagapo" by Andromachi (She's representing Cyprus at eurovision this year and I keep returning to this song. Probably my favorite of hers. -- "De Diepte" by S10: One of my favorite songs from this year's contest, both melancholic and rooted with a sullen atmosphere.

3 essentials (assuming we have air, food, water, IDs)

--lip balm: I start worrying if I don't have my lip balm on me. --cell phone: This places me firmly in the 21st century, haha. --watch

2 Books

--1984 by George Orwell --1968: The Year that Rocked the World by Mark Kurlansky

I read both books in high school and they really cut through me. The former in how it deals with authoritarianism and Winston's journey with Julia; the latter in how well written it is and how it cuts through an important year in history. (I also really liked Animal Farm from Orwell)
