This is a beautifully crafted story. Erwin is a prince who finds Levi on the streets and makes him his knight. They deal with political intrigue and their growing adoration for each other. The story is told in a nonlinear format but it isn't confusing.

late night fic recs (2/∞): The Season Underwater by @andtheheir

Grantaire tries not to be too distracted by Enjolras’ butterfly. He’s seen it more times over the past three years than he’s seen his own parents, but he is only a man, and an artist at that. Enjolras’ butterfly is one of those rare things in life that leaves him at a loss, something he wants to watch and mimic, though he has no idea where he would even begin to capture it on canvas.

Find Hell With Me by andtheheir

Canonverse. One shot. Eruri. Irvin and Rivaille's origin story.

This fic was written in 2013 when people were still arguing about how to pronounce and write the characters' names, hence Levi is Rivaille and Erwin is Irvin in this fic.

The style is gorgeously restrained and Irvin and Rivaille's words and actions are full of repressed desire. There are a few scenes that stick with me: one that reminds me of Eren's trial, Irvin kissing Rivaille's knuckles and the sexiest haircut scene I've ever come across.

i've been trying to reply to your post about Oiks being a cancer, but tumblr is being dumb right now so here's a message! not that i have a ton to say but: i'm a cancer too and i was also thrilled to find out that he was! i'm so happy he's a cancer bro with cancer traits that are so relatable. i can't think of any other cancer characters off the top of my head...

aahhh yeah :D the only one I can think of is the other one I mentioned in that post, Adam from The Raven Cycle. I tend not to pay attention to characters’ signs though, so it’s possible there are other cancers in my fandoms and I’ve just never realized it?

Anyway though, yeah when I started thinking about cancer traits they actually DO fit Oikawa. He can be very moody, he has an outer shell that you have to get past before you can get to know his soft gooey center, and his intuition for people, while it comes from analyzing people rather than what i usually think of as ‘intuition,’ is super solid.

But also like, cancers are never described as being able to stand up for themselves, or even having the capability to be mean or cutting or competitive or vicious, so it’s great that he gets to be all those things, too! Oikawa Tooru: legit contains multitudes.
