Wow ok. You guys are really fucking anti-cuba, it's borderline racist. What the fuck??? Cuba has it's flaws, but it's better than the US in many many ways. What is this? 1961??? They are pro black. What's not to like??? Communism =/= evil. 

This is studying abroad. Last time I checked, no kid from my school died from going to Cuba.

I'm pretty fucking sure there's a higher chance of being "completely obliterated" here with my black ass in America than in Cuba. Or are we just gonna act like we don't know what's going on in this country rn???

question: what is your favorite beyonce song from her latest album? (i like to ask difficult questions.)

That is hard, but Flawless probably considering it’s introducing hundreds of millions of people to feminism. 

It’s just the riskiest song on the album for these reasons:

She starts and ends the song with one of her personal “failures”

She integrates their losing song into a feminist anthem about finding success in self worth

She challenges white feminism by using gendered slurs (white people don’t understand the reclaiming of slurs bc they don’t believe in intersectionality)

She samples a TED Talk from a fellow feminist (which as a businesswoman was a smart move because she just made a fellow black woman richer) 

It’s not a “pretty” song, it’s very hood, undeniably black and distinctly third ward trill. 

She challenges white feminism once again by letting bitches know that being a wife and a feminist is not mutually exclusive 

She encourages women that they are beautiful and essentially flawless

But don’t even get me started on the music video which is 0% about being sexy and everything about being hard, defying gender and race roles while looking directly into the camera to declare your status.

She is seated with two “skinheads” below her. And the whole video is filled with black punk babes, a culture that is very white feminist and supremely anti-black. She takes that and flips it on its head, creating a very pro black woman environment. 

I will sing this song to my daughters because there is no better role model for a black woman to have than Beyonce Giselle Knowles-Carter.
