At this point in the time.. America is a scary place to be. DR is a scary place to be. Being black in America is starting to be a scary thing. I won't let anyone put fear in my heart for being me. I won't let anyone put fear in my heart because my skin is dark. I will not let anyone silence me. I will not back down on the subject of racial discrimination or hate. To say I hate white people is to say I hate apart of my daughter. I don't hate anyone. I don't hate anything. I want to surround myself with love and people who understand the struggle. People who identify and who see what's going on for what it is. Things are getting bad. I'm afraid for my child. I'm afraid for my brother when he gets out of prison. I'm afraid to say that its only going to get worse from here. The world is speaking volumes right now. I have a literal list of all the unarmed black folks killed this year and last year.. While I watch a coward being escorted away by the cops because he "cooperated" and "went peacefully" after methodically taking the lives of 9 innocent people. It's not going to stop. Its going to get worse. Until finally, we stop being afraid, and we start fucking fighting. I'm tired of being tired of this shit. I'm tired of wondering why us? How do you have so much hate over someone's skin color or religious beliefs. I will never understand. I refuse to leverage and try to get it. I'm just tired.
