Heathers: The Musical
4/5
Dang dang diggity dang-a-dang, this was a nice breath of fresh air after Mean Girls 2024. The show adapts the movie really well, didn’t think there were any pacing issues, and it expands on the themes and characters nicely. The dark subject matter is balanced out by focusing on the absurd humor. Liked the use of Heather Chandler’s ghost to give Veronica a moral sounding board. The filmed version is well directed, always giving the best view of the show and highlighting the details, with just enough audience moments to make us feel like we’re in the middle of a crowd of fans. Steve rules.
