maybe it was the downward spiral of being a father that had landed him here, but really, this was just a public place to get faded as shit and hollis would take that opportunity. the opening of this place had been a hit, a lot of people filling the place up and taking on dares that only scotty himself could think of. what a legend he was. he took a gulp of his gina and tonic and then set it aside, fingers making quick work of wrapping up an almost too full joint of gorilla glue #4 at the table he had chosen to sit at. putting his mind to work took his thoughts away from cece and their baby and how he needed to call his own mother and definitely calum. it was just him rolling up ground weed into a perfect dessert of trichomes and flower.
and then, he looked up.
he had seen her at the tcbh opening, sleekly dressed and hovering over everything as if she had some secret all knowing power. at first it hadn’t donned on him that she managed the place, some strange instinct that dylan just did everything on her own completely shattered. she had been passing the table when he realized he didn’t have a lighter and there hadn’t been one on the table.
“-excuse me, i, uh-” his head dipped down and tongue peeked out to lick at the last bit of seam, sealing the joint and twisting the top, “where can i find or buy a light?”
