hey so i just saw this post about a nonbinary person being misgendered at pride and a few of the comments are asking about how to properly address a nonbinary person so imma let y'all in on a couple little secrets
1. there is no “right” set of pronouns or titles that every nonbinary person relates to and uses with themselves
2. you can literally just not use pronouns and titles when talking to one person or a group of people
like in the post, just say “excuse me.” when talking to a group say “y’all” or something. you do not ever have to say "you ladies” or “you gents” or whatever the fuck. you can just leave that shit out !! and it makes binary trans people a hell of a lot more comfortable if they don’t have to get misgendered too!! calling me (nb) and my bf (trans man) “ladies” in public misgenders!! both of us!!! and makes us both uncomfortable!!!! you literally do not have to make gender specifications in any scenario. if you're worried about choosing the “right” one. you can just choose to use none.
