Intro Post: 007 Fest 2026

004 has been with MI6 for 14 years, and a double oh for 6 of those. There's no part of her that hasn't been polygraphed, psychoanalyzed, Smart Blooded (thanks loads, Q), and filed away in triplicate on security clearance forms.

Except--well. Maybe there is one thing.

You see, 004's dirty secret is that she loves team building exercises. Loves. Them. She has yet to meet a trust fall she hasn't enthusiastically trust fallen, or an icebreaker she hasn't wholeheartedly ice broken. So when she heard about this year's A.N.E.M.O.N.E. Games, she had exactly one thought in that gorgeous butch head of hers:

Hola a todos! I'm Ani (she/they). When I thought about what character to bring to the ANEMONE Games, I could not resist bringing back a fancast I did for last year's fest, with Heather Peace standing in as Agent 004.

007 fest is such a bright spot in the year for me--I love seeing people's creativity, I love feeding my own, I love being able to take a moment and just play. This summer is another busy one for me, but I'll have a pinned post with 007 fest 2026 creations that I'll add to as the month goes on. Happy festing, friends!

I am away from my desk this week participating in the A.N.E.M.O.N.E. Games--and so should you be! There's no "I" in "team," to be sure, but there is an "M," which as we all know is the first letter in MI6. Coincidence? I think not. So let's take advantage of every opportunity to tighten up our teamwork during these Games so it can carry us into our future endeavors--I for one am NOT losing to the Aussies again at the three-legged race at the next Five Eyes field day. I'm looking at you Tanner.

The Games will continue until morale improves--and I trust I speak for my other double ohs when I say you'll want to make a good impression in the week ahead...

A.N.E.M.O.N.E. Games SitRep: 004

004 leaned back in her desk chair, propping her feet on the desk.

Well, technically, it was Mallory's desk chair, and Mallory's desk, but what the old bastard (affectionate. sort of.) didn't know wouldn't hurt him. She'd be out of there by the time he was done with Legal--something to do with all the paperwork for the injuries from the trust fall exercise yesterday afternoon--and she liked the view of London she could see from his desk. It was a good place to think--to take stock.

It had been, trust fall injuries aside, a remarkably productive A.N.E.M.O.N.E. Games. The officially sanctioned activities, including the collaborative puzzles, cryptograms, crafting, and icebreakers had had better attendance than even M had expected, perhaps because 004 had taken to popping into people's offices when they were trying to shirk and "suggesting" that they be more of a team player, Q, thank you very much.

And the double ohs' technically unsanctioned activities? Well, those had gone swimmingly, if she did say so herself. And she did.

All in all, it was a month well spent. MI6 felt more unified, and not only because everyone, including Legal, was now furious at Mallory. They definitely stood a chance at winning the next Five Eyes Field Day if they kept this up, and they would keep it up. 004 would make sure of it.

She'd never really thought about retiring as an agent, but maybe it was time.

She'd make a hell of a motivational coach.
