"Hans, why do people keep telling you that I was either dead or killed? I'm starting to get a little scared here..."

"Do not worry yourself. At most I believe they are simply attempting to get a reaction out of me that is something other than distaste."

"Hans, why do you like to use your feet to pick things up off the floor? Isn't that...unsanitary?"

He thinned his lips slightly. Mercy must have been talking. "I only do so around my home. It is the only place you will find me barefooted. The floors are very sanitary. Besides, it is not that I will be putting the object in my mouth."

"You just sit there and take it? But that's awful! You don't deserve to be treated like that, Hans!"

"Mm, well. Being rude is the least a person can do. I have had clients become violent and unmanageable. Outside of the office, well... Blame propriety. It would be even more rude to simply walk away." He smiled gently. "Besides, one can be rude in return while appearing polite."

"Mr. Hans, what annoys you the most?"

"Rude people," he answered immediately. "Namely those who are rude for no reason what so ever and continue to remain that way regardless of how others interact with them. It is safe to say that, as a doctor and therapist, I encounter numerous people that fit this description. The least I can do is grin and bear it."

"Hans, what did you do for fun as a kid?"

"Well. You can say that I was your typical youth; often dirtying up the clothes my mother meticulously washed, skinning my knees and getting into things I should leave well enough alone." He chuckled softly. "Often my friends and I played games. Conkers was one of my favorites."

"Hans, do you have a favorite color?"

The medic laughed softly. “Sometimes I wish I did. I am afraid that my favorite color changes far too often. I do tend to lean toward shades of red, though.”

"Hans, I think you would have made a great Father..."

A smile came to his lips, soft and barely noticeable. “Thank you, Anemone. Unfortunately I believe that is a theory I think I can test. At least not without adoption and, well.. I doubt any agency will take kindly to a mercenary adopting a child.”

"Hans...why do people hate each other so much?"

He sits back quietly, unable to give a quick answer like he had with the rest of her questions. “Well… I could give you numerous reasons, but I suppose it all boils down to people being petty.”
