I post/Dm my mutuals about my art more than I post , cause it's just not fun to draw
I don't care about the likes or the recognition, I just want artists to lift each other up
And talk to each other more. Artists are supposed to be inclusive, but we're more destined than ever.
AI is almost fully in the art world now. " non artist" creators think they can draw to make a quick buck. Small businesses & Creators can't get a good footing cause we're in a recession , and no one can buy art/non-essential items right now.
The price of eggs is through the fucking Roof, and I can't even post in peace , cause someone always has something to say. Or " there is more important stuff, than drawing right now."
* sighs hard* I'm sorry I needed to get that out.
I need some good community right now
If you wanna collaborate on something , it could be anything, that would be awesome right now. The world is falling apart but at least we can draw until the Power Grid goes down.
( if there is any spelling errors idk , cause I'm speaking from the heart & EO is too scared to go on VC , I get it , it's scary & you don't know who's really are behind these accounts, YTbers keep getting canceled for being Groomers all the time , who's to say it isn't someone you know. )
Both Cara and Sketchers United prioritize artist growth, community interaction, and a supportive environment. These apps provide creative professionals and hobbyists with the resources to connect, showcase, and collaborate. Whether you’re an illustrator, painter, or photographer, these platforms offer a space to thrive and find your tribe.
( both can be used on browser/IOS/Android)
The original Sony Sketch doesn't exist anymore, but if you didn't delete off your device you can still use it ( definitely on android, I still use it to this day just with some glitches)
Now let's get into how they are different, and they are outstandingly different.
Cara - Artists focused Community aka " Artists Twitter "
Cara is a platform built with the idea of creating an inclusive community for artists. It focuses on fostering genuine connections through art. Here’s what sets it apart:
Community-Centered,Portfolio Showcasing, Open to Multiple Disciplines, Inclusive Spaces,
Sketchers United -
" Sketch 2.0 "
Sketchers United, on the other hand, is an app designed by and for digital illustrators and sketch artists. It emerged as a community hub following the shutdown of popular apps like “Sketch Club” and “Sketch.” Here’s it's features:
Creative Freedom, Interactive Community, Challenges and Contests, Built by Artists for Artists
( this is a old photo of what it looked like )
The good thing about SU too , is that is as a built in drawing system inside it , so for some that want a somewhat good drawing platform that you can post & draw all in the same app than this is the app for you.
