Angel sighs heavily a brow quirking just slightly as she sets her gaze on the man. Angel does nothing to hide the fact that she’s more than just a little annoyed at him, and honestly it’s his fault she’s in the mood she’s in to begin with. He’s been going out of his way to get under her skin all night, and now that she’s finally letting it show he’s choosing to have a problem with it. “Oh you were talking to me? I thought you were just talking to hear yourself talk.” It’s a smartass response, more than a little petty, and Angel’s well aware that her little attitude will be dealt with if she doesn’t drop it. Which means, of course she’s not going to drop the attitude. Especially when he’s the whole cause of the attitude to begin with.

dating a vampire would always come with certain risks, even for a witch with such deep untapped potential as angel. at least that’s what the girl had expected and was willing to accept when she started this relationship with gable. the only problem was he seemed to be avoiding certain things around her, and she couldn’t help but wonder why. it was what had prompted her to question him that night after he had gotten dressed with the clear intention of going out to feed.

it’s been a long shift at the bar, and angel wants nothing more than to get inside her apartment and crawl into her bed. the idea while usually something she looks forward to, doesn’t help calm her nerves this night however. tonight she’s on edge, and looking for good reason. she’s picked up a stray from the bar, some guy she’s seen around before but never served as he always seemed content to just watch. it seems he’s gotten bold because he’s followed her the several blocks to her apartment building and angel knows that going to her door is out of the question when she sees him slip into the building before the door can close and lock behind her. she’s tense the entire elevator ride up, and before she knows what her plan is or if its even a good idea she rushes straight to her neighbors door when the elevator doors slide open. she only hopes he answers with enough time to for her to get inside before the creep downstairs can ride the elevator up. 

it feels like an eternity after she knocks, hand raising to knock yet again when she sees movement out of the corner of her eye. and that’s when the door swings open and a very disheveled and confused man stands in the doorway. “hey babe, sorry i left my keys and got locked out.” she says it loud enough and the creep stops, at the sight of man towering over angel in the door way. she takes the moment to step in closer just enough so that she can whisper loud enough for only the man in front of her to hear. “sorry, that guy down the hall followed me from the bar and i don’t want him seeing i live by myself.” there’s a pleading in her eyes, hoping that her neighbor will be understanding and let her inside.

Well that was awkward, Angel hadn’t expected the man to just outright ask her if her attempts at flirting were actually attempts at flirting. “Well I was trying to.” She answered, an awkward laugh on her lips as she tucked a strand of dark hair behind her ear. “I can stop if you want, no need to embarrass myself anymore than I already have.” She told him, laughing under her breath as a blush crept across her cheeks much to her chagrin.
