Thank you thank you I really appreciate that ppl like my interpretation of kylar even though its a work in progress/very inconsistent. I'm gonna use this post as an excuse to highlight my favorite kylar truthers who have really helped me retain my interest in our favorite little decrepit bnnuy :

Please thank @skellebon bc I've been staring lovingly at her recent jirai kei/jirai danshi kylar designs and Ohmmy God...... Her mind.... The pink hair!!! omg omg omg just every kylar they draw I want to kiss them both soooo bad and also take care of them like a little pet ^-^ mwah mwah mwah they trigger my cute aggression so bad I want to eat them ALIVEEEEE (sounds of me gnawing on them like a crazed animal affectionatestyle)

Also thank my beloved mutual @lovekylarforever because he is so incredibly load bearing in keeping my interest in kylar alive (bc my interest in dol itself is Not Very Strong to be entirely honest. Outside the mechanics and general premise of the game I moreso enjoy the things that come from the fandom rather than the source material) and we share a lot of views on like yan characters and bl n stuff so it's always fun to see him and his thoughts on my dashboard and notifs forever and ever I love you twinnn <3333

okay so before i say anything else i need to clarify that i’m only out to my sister and more recently people at my school, and to the majority of my acquaintances there, aka the people at my lunch table, i came out like this:

so my sister is a freshman, and it’s hell trying to find a table so she and her friends sit by me and my friends. cool. fine. it’s all good, right?

and then her friend goes: “god, i feel so sorry for [insert one of my friend’s names here] because her brother is gay” and like, she didn’t mean it in the sense of oh he’s got a crush on a dude i can feel it but more of like this is meant to insult him type of way

and my sister goes, “oh gee i feel sorry for me, too” with some heavy sarcasm, and she gives me this look like oh boy here we go a homophobe

and this girl—i’m gonna call her by her initial, A, for convenience’s sake—suddenly has this confused look on her face and she says, “wait why?”

and like a second after my sister hits me with a Look™, i stand up and look A dead in the eyes and tell her, “because i’m the gay sibling. me. i’m gay”

and A just stares at me with this look of disbelief on her face and goes: “No you’re not!”

slafjsladkfj like!!! i’m cacklign i fucking can’t!! like me and my sister share another look like we’re on the brink of cracking up like i’ve come out one-on-one to close friends before (one friend said: “omg that’s so cool i love gay people and have plenty of gay friends!” followed by an extremely biphobic comment, and another friend said: “really? you don’t seem gay”) but this. this way of coming out? really topped every other way i have come out ohmygod.

and like, right before i’m about to laugh my ass off, i go, “….. i’m dead serious, A… i’m gay. as in. i like girls. that gay.”

and she goes “wait what?” and at that point i stop listening bc my sister is pissed and starts to explain that i am, in fact, Gay

and ofc the rest of my friends turn to me and they’re like “omg you’re gay?” and i go “yeah! i am!” and they’re just like “oh cool!” and that was that. 

to this day, i have not let it go, and every time i see A i make sure she remembers the ever iconic “No you’re not!” like it’s the funniest fucking thing she outright denied my sexuality after i confirmed it like!! it was so funny omg truly a moment i will never forget

Ahhhh I'm like 100% sure that was on my old blog that got deleted when I got terminated 😔

I know that @/maleyanderecafe and @/torao-chan (sorry i get embarrassed pinging people in posts since in this case it feels unnecessary :')) ) both rb my posts related to forever yours so maybe it's buried somewhere in their blogs....

But regardless I remember most of them and kinda changed a couple, so here's the list of my voice claims on the fy yours boys + cupid, I'll add the rest of the side characters once I find good/solid ones for all of them.

Tama - I'm still firm in choosing Bear Ghost for Tama. The specific songs I like to use an example are Paradise and Starkiller, but also this clip from Bee and Puppycat and I basically have nothing to add on lol. Any song by Bear Ghost fits voice wise in my head.

Max - Darling Dance (English Cover) by Anthong the Gay has been the closest I could ever get. It's like 95% what his voice sounds like to me, the other 5% being just like, intonation issues. Max doesn't really try to hide how he feels so his tone and manner of speaking makes it verrrrry clear how he feels at any given moment, so his voice has more extreme highs and lows.

I've been told that it's a surprising choice because they expect his voice to be higher, which I think is funny. He would find high-pitched, overly cutesy, squeaky voices annoying and grating to listen to.

Psy - Another one that's been clear since I've chosen it, Lucky Love by Michael Seyer is basically ideal in my head. The voice fits well, the calm, tender, gentle, mature/knowledgeable tone is basically perfect!

Lake - A very, very difficult one, mostly because he doesn't have a very strong voice in my head! (which is funny because I know how he talks very clearly). I think it's because the sounds of super, intensely emotional voices cause me to panic internally a little, so when I write his dialogue my brain is like "lol no voice here" or else I would Not be able to Get Through It. I've chosen This December and Fly Me to The Moon (cover) by Ricky Montgomery before, which I do think are nice choices. Some additional songs by Ricky Montgomery that I think are even more fitting for Lake's voice is It's Ok to Cry and Boy Toy (acoustic version).

Lycoris - Sweet Tangerine by The Hush Sound is really good! Recently I added These Hands from Frankenstein - A New Musical to my brain as like. an extra layer of flavor in my head, due to the very tormented and guilt-ridden tone that Lycoris would definitely have as someone who is a bit more self aware than the others. Also I just like The Creature in Frankenstein and his depiction in this musical lol.

Cupid - Ok so. I was basically sold on Kiss Me You Animal by Burn the Ballroom and I still am! But also DON'T WANNA SLEEP and READ YOUR DIARY by Måneskin kinda fit his general vibe like, genre-wise more. Even if the lyrical narrative doesn't match him as much...... the vibes of the genre.......... fits very well........... I am making no sense I know.......... Adriel Genet's voice fits Cupid better than Damiano David ultimately, but Måneskin's frequent subject matter about partying all night and romance issues fits Cupid more than the spooky-haunted-vampire vibe of Burn the Ballroom.
