For anyone who hasn't already heard of it, Romeo's Blue Skies received a stage musical adaptation in 2022! First YouTube video is the trailer for the Blu-ray release, second video is an earlier promotional video for the show with more clips but at a lower quality. I absolutely love this adaptation, it's a delight and very faithful to the source material. Good news for English-speaking fans, I recently finished creating subtitle tracks for the show! The link to download them is down below for anyone who wants to use them with their copy of the show.

I will NOT be uploading the full musical anywhere. I hope more people will consider buying the Blu-ray release to support the musical so hopefully it's revived eventually! It's easy to import directly from Amazon JP. However, if there's enough interest, I might stream a watch party on Discord, if you're interested let me know! I know this is a tiny fandom, but I'm hoping to gather as many fans as possible in a Discord server eventually, and also use it as a space to potentially introduce new people to the series and archive info about it 💖

In my experience the subtitle tracks work best when used with the free media player PotPlayer.

Please note: I am nowhere near fluent in Japanese. My translated subtitle tracks are based on the original fansubs of the anime by TechnoGirls/Takara Fansubs, and my limited Japanese knowledge aided by tools like DeepL and Google Translate. Most of it should be pretty close, but there was some guesswork involved too. Anyone interested in and able to help improve my translation, please feel free to contact me!

Yoshiharu Sato worked extensively at Studio Ghibli as a key animator, and notably was the animation director on My Neighbor Totoro and Only Yesterday. He also worked on many of the other World Masterpiece Theater series at Nippon Animation.
