Got ABSOLUTELY PRANKED by my angelfish for a year and a half thinking he was a boy. Here’s a pic of her laying eggs this morning on her favorite item in the tank, the filter intake.

Meet Lieutenant and Winter. We started out trying to find Lieutenant a nice young lady and we were very excited when “he” paired up with lovely Winter. Turns out Lieutenant picked out a lovely young man! Here Lt is laying eggs on her favorite amazon leaf with Winter keeping watch. Even the pros have trouble sexing angelfish so don’t feel bad if like us, you get a little confused. This is their fourth try and Winter just can’t get the whole fertilizing thing down. He is young so I’m going to let them keep trying. They sure would have some beautiful babies!
