favorite thing about them —i think he contributes a wonderful narrative foil to naruto. he is what naruto would have been without somebody like iruka, etc etc

least favorite thing about them —i do not like watching him suffer, and sooo much of gaara's screentime is just watching him experience trauma. there's sooo much of that. also who the fuck chose liam o'brien to voice him? and why did liam o'brien, once chosen, choose to deepen his voice further? i'm fucking suffering. gaara sounds like he's 40+ yrs old and smoking at least half a pack a day. help.

if anyone says "well see the solution to that problem is not to watch the dub" well, consider this: boo! that's annoying!

brOTP —temari is gaara's favorite sibling i think. she hasn't always liked gaara and gaara hasn't always liked her, but i feel like she has always tried with gaara, and that makes all the difference with him because so few other people ever tried to engage with him like a thing that can be reasoned with, instead of a horrible natural disaster, or a demon. her attempts were not always good. his responses were rarely good either, but she tried.

OTP —i don't care about this kind of thing.

nOTP —okay this isn't a nOTP tbh because if i am being real, when it comes to most ships which aren't skeevy as hell, i honestly couldn't care less. but like, personally, i cannot understand gaalee at all, i dont get the appeal and i do not see any semblance of a romantic affection between them. for the longest time i thought the draw of gaalee was that like, gai would be gaara's dad-in law (sensei-in-law?) and it was a comedic premise where gaara and lee would basically be arranging themselves into a companionable but loveless marriage for this familial set up. Like. Gaara and Lee marry just bc gaara wants gai sensei as a father figure in his life.

u have to understand, while that sounds insane, i thought this was more realistic than them being romantically interested in each other, this is how little i understand whatever compels people to ship gaara and lee together.

but again, like i said, i don't really care and i'm glad people are having fun, it's not like its a bad ship i just personally do not get it

random headcanon —i...don't think about him enough to have a random headcanon for him i think? i think he should play sports, something like soccer. i think that would be really good for him, emotionally.

unpopular opinion —i think the gaalee thing probably counts as my most unpopular opinion. i am sorry 2 any gaalee fans...to all u rockra fans out there...i just do not get it 😔 tho to be fair i don't get a lot of ships so skdghdkgjhsdkg this is not a surprising unpopular opinion from me

(For the PokePositivity Friday) ask-andante has wonderful characters, storyline, and art-style- I always enjoy reading their blog and seeing the wonderful colors and growing attached to all the different personalities that each character has, on top of all that, the story itself is simply riveting!!
