Important Breakdown
@angelshizuka recently you’ve made messages regarding my server, AND you’ve gone after a friend of mine. Why make a random post and then target a friend of mine instead of going to ME about your issues with MY server? If you have an issue with my server and how I moderate it, please just go to me about it and leave everyone ELSE out of it. Here I will be doing a breakdown of your post (the one regarding the server): 1.
This statement “there are no gay people in Sofia the First” is TRUE, as there are no canonically gay couples in the show. If you want to have that headcanon, that is your choice, but it’s NOT canon. Period. And I have NEVER claimed that unless a character “properly comes out” they’re by default straight. What I claim is that no non-straight character was ever made canon in the show. Not my fault. You can headcanon, but it won’t make it canon. 2.
You are right that “sexuality” was never mentioned in the show, but f/m couples are the ONLY canon ones in the show. Which is one reason why in my server I ONLY allowed that kind of couple (Miranda x Roland, Tilly x Bartleby, Jade and Ruby crushing on James are all canon examples). Now, obviously same sex FRIENDSHIPS are canon to the show, but that’s not the same as a same sex COUPLE/RELATIONSHIP. Also, you are playing with meanings here, when I say “straight relationships/couples” are canon, I mean that f/m relationships canon in the show, period. 3.
When the server rules say “the server stays true to the show” it DOESN’T mean we can’t have headcanons like Hugfia/Desamber, what it means is that it stays faithful to the character of the show, and how family friendly it was. Headcanons that I deemed “family friendly” are STILL 100% allowed. 4.
I have NEVER made an argument that believing lgbt stuff is “not family friendly” doesn’t make me homophobic. “Homophobic” is a term people have come up with, and if you want to classify me as being “homophobic” because I don’t believe gay stuff to be family friendly, then that’s YOUR thing, not mine. I will NEVER accept that lgbt stuff is ok for kids, because it is NOT. I could care less what you call me. In Conclusion. This is MY server, and MY rules. You don’t have to be a part of it if you don’t feel comfortable, that is your thing. I would have to follow your rules in your server too, wouldn’t I? In my opinion, you should stay away if you don’t find a place enjoyable. If you don’t like the server, then move on. Go your own way. If you want people to be more tolerant, then you yourself, please try and be more tolerant of people that believe different than you. And please don’t go after friends of mine, this is MY server, and I’m the one you should be complaining about.
