RAOUL | starter for Christine @angelsofmusic
Raoul turned the crisp, white card over to see if there was anything he had failed to notice on the back, then looked back over at Christine. “So,” he said, handing her the card, “what do you think about this masquerade gala?” It had been some time since he had been to one proper, but to be honest, it seemed perfectly fitting that a party thrown by Messieurs the managers would, indeed, be a costume ball.
And though the timing of the party might be a little strange, considering the social season was nearly over, he figured that the people of the Opera had plenty of reason to celebrate; it had been six months since anything had been seen from the Opera Ghost. It seemed that he had finally left the theatre for good, and Raoul was as grateful as the rest of them for that.
