5) Do you or have you ever had a heart dog?
I feel the closest connection with my dogs in the following order Balto/Hubble (they are tied), noodle, then ani. Balto and Hubble are the by far the dogs that I have had the most meaningful connection and easiest communication, but idk if it constitutes heart dog. I’m beginning to believe the right dogs are in our lives at the right time (ie: noodle). Some connections are more difficult, more challenging, but not less important, not unworthy of the title heart dog. All dogs give their all, I’m their heart person after all, who am I to say that that isn’t enough. Each day is different too, each dog offers something different, sometimes a long walk with noodle is what I need, sometimes Ani’s climbing trees or balto’s quiet cuddles, or hubble’s explosive energy is what shape my day. Everyday I’m a little different, and theres always a dog to step in.
9) Your favorite breed?
I suppose husky is my favorite lmao, I ended up with a lot of them. BUT the shepherd in noodle is bringing back all that love I have for GSDs as well as tervs and groens. I would give an arm for a nice terv or groen. That herdy-ness but not the border collie type herdy-ness is calling to me lately.
10) Your least favorite breed?
not super big on really tiny dogs, tea cup anything, Chihuahuas, Pomeranians, yorkies, also clumber spaniels and other spaniel-y types. Not huge on really dog aggressive breeds, but noodle definitely has issues, its not a deal breaker, I just like having lotsa dogs without really having to worry.
11) A breed you love, but can never see yourself having?
probably sight hounds. I love them, they are beautiful dogs, wonderful pets, but I like endurance breeds they just fit my lifestyle way better. I like longggg walks and hikes and doing miles and miles of joring and a really active dog. Also any dog I can’t carry so things like malamutes, scottish deer hounds, irish wolf hounds, big dogs that I can’t move to the car by myself in case of emergency. I love mega huge dogs but it gives me anxiety to think about something serious happening and having to wait for help.
