#I try to write one#O NE#comedic relief scene and w h a t do I do??#make it ANGSTY#ANGGGSTY#I mean I write one joke and have to back it up with double the sads?#why?#I honestly think my greatest flaw is that everything can be angsty and I undercut nice things by making it too sad#the entire first arc of who is the monster#yeah this is who is the monster I'm talking about#the entire first arc and then some is all dedicated to d o w n f a l l#and then the next part is about loss????#it only starts getting uplifting when Franken comes back into the picture and does some stuf#makes some wins#by killing ignes and destroying the Zero base#I'm thinking about it now and I'm worried that I can't write something emotionally fulfilling enough#it pretty much plays out as a tragedy especially first half#but it's not a tragedy#I want to be true to noblesse - even though terrible things have happened it's an inherently hopeful happy story#and I know I'm trying to fill in the canon's blanks#if anyone is reading this/ has read monster how often do you get bored reading through all this sad stuff lol#this was me rambling annoyed but#also about me doing rewrites for the next chapter and Franken and Gejutel talk and they come across the subject of Gejutel's poor deceased s#son
