“I won’t stop; I don’t want to stop…” he murmured against her soft, silky skin, pressing gentle kisses on her neck. He took deep breaths to inhale her sweet scent, savoring it like a fine wine, letting it envelop him. One arm wrapped securely around her, pulling her closer onto his lap, as if he were afraid to let her go. His other hand glided up her thigh, fingers brushing lightly against her skin.

“Stay with me,” he whispered, his voice barely audible, but filled with urgency, as if their connection was something sacred that he wished to preserve forever.

Everywhere they looked, there were warm lights, but the weather was so cold that they could see the condensation of their breath with each word they spoke. Despite the biting cold, people strolled through the Christmas market, bundled up in big, warm jackets. Magi and Sungmin were among them. The large Christmas tree, the carousel, various stalls, and their hands intertwined in Sungmin's pocket made for a delightful time together.

Snow had been falling since the morning, but it intensified as they wandered through the market. Many people began to seek shelter from the snowfall, and Sungmin did the same. He spotted an empty stall and ran towards it, still holding her hand. “So cold,” he said, pulling Magi closer to him to share their warmth.

“What do you think happened to the person who was supposed to use this stall to sell things?” he asked, scanning the small space. His soft chuckle caught her attention because he saw her tilting her head back to look at the ceiling as well. “I guess someone saw the potential in this place,” he commented, glancing down at her with a lingering smile.

As their eyes locked, he slowly raised a hand to gently caress her cheek, fully aware that his hand was not very warm. “It would be a waste if we don’t… do this, right?” His voice was soft, almost a whisper, and finally, he captured her lips in a slow, deep kiss.

Jihyun and some of his friend’s had been out together that night to have some drinks and let a bit loose. The young male was just a bit tipsy as they decided to part ways, being confident he would find his way back to the dorm no problem. He could still walk without a problem and just felt a bit heated and fuzzy inside, which were things he could handle. At some point he stopped in front of a display window to check out his own reflection. He had acted on an impulse and once his eyes scanned over his own reflection he let out a small giggle. In the end he used his hand to make two small pigtails. And Jihyun was so lost in his own little fun that he didn’t hear footsteps coming closer.

At first, he overlooked the details of the flowers; his attention was focused on her until she mentioned how she and a little helper had put them together. “Really? Did you and a little someone assemble them? I love them!” he said with a soft chuckle, taking the bouquet from her and wrapping his free arm around her. “Thank you so much. But now I'm curious to see what else you have planned.” He placed a gentle kiss on her cheek, his smile showing his gratitude for the birthday wishes.

Sungmin couldn't remember when their conversations had transitioned from a few messages to daily interactions. He always made time for her and believed he managed everything well most of the time. However, sometimes life would throw multiple challenges his way all at once, leaving him overwhelmed and scrambling to keep up. He felt guilty considering the idea of canceling their plans again, especially since she had purchased the tickets for the movie. After taking a deep breath, he resolved not to cancel; he would make it on time.

The next day, his daughter had a performance, and he needed to pick up her dress from the store. Work had reached a peak with a heavy workload, and time felt like his biggest enemy.

Somehow, Sungmin finished work an hour later than usual. Traffic complicated matters further as he tried to get to the store. Just a few minutes later, and he wouldn’t have made it, but he finally had the dress in his possession. Back in traffic, he struggled to maintain his composure while glancing at the clock. He still had enough time to return home, drop off the dress, and take Nari to her grandparents.

By the time he arrived at the movie theater, he was out of breath and a bit disheveled. Though he suspected the movie had already started, he was relieved he managed to do it all—from the parking lot to the theater. He ran as fast as his office shoes would allow. Standing in front of her, he apologized, "I'm sorry…" pausing to catch his breath. "I know I'm late, but I think we haven't missed much of the movie. Let's go inside."

He reached for her hand to lead her in, but she stopped him, pulling out a tissue from her purse to wipe the sweat from his forehead. Her gentle gesture grounded him, helping to calm the adrenaline that was rushing through his body. Sungmin wrapped his arms around her tightly and nodded, then gently cupped her cheeks. "I just don’t want you to feel ignored or think you don’t matter to me because you do, Magi…"
