In the package that was dropped on Amalia's lap was a silver charm bracelet. On it there were five silver charms; a vanilla ice cream cone, a Starbucks coffee cup, a shopping bag and a Ferris wheel. There was also a note written in neat penmanship: "Hey gorgeous! How have your holidays been so far? I hope you like the gift. Feel free to add charms to it. I tried to make you some apple strudel but it turns out I just make a mess. I hope you'll wear this at the ball. I think it'll suit you!"
“For me?” she said aloud, although alone in her dorm, “Wow.” Amalia put the bracelet on, admiring each of the charms individually. It was a lovely present. “My holidays were rather wonderful. Spent Christmas with friends-- just the way I like it. The gift is beautiful. Beautiful and thoughtful. I’ll definitely be adding charms to this, thank you so much. I hope I see you at the party so I can thank you in person. I’ll definitely wear this tonight.”
