Imagine Mal'damba coming back from a voyage to see Fernando dead by a gang.

They both have been cuddling close that night after the near death experience. Mal'damba refused to leave Fernando's side, who had blood-stained bandages all over his chest and was snoring rather lightly. Fernando's arms were wrapped around Mal'damba, keeping him close as possible. Mal'damba traced Fernando's undamaged collar bone, his hand still shaking from the incident. He was and still is guilty for throwing Fernando into danger like that, only watching his life drain ever so slowly in front of Mal'damba. He felt something bottle at his throat as tears begin to spill from his eyes. He pushed his face into his bare chest and began to softly cry. Never did he wish to lose Fernando again, the man who he was the closest to. The snoring ceased, then the sound of moving cloth.

"Mal'damba?"

"You wouldn't like the outcome,"

"I rather take that chance then let him die in my arms,"

Those very words he spoke made him regret that choice. Mal'damba should've let Fernando's soul rest, but for him to become a snake as well?

He could tell Fernando was still there, often putting his head up against Mal'damba's cheek and finding roses from the garden to give to Mal'damba. Yet, it wasn't the same.

Mal'damba is useless at this point, unable to treat Fernando's serious injury. Respawn hadn't helped nor any other healer's aid. Fernando reassured Mal'damba that he'd still be around, but unable to battle. However, he too is broken. He can't protect Mal'damba anymore. He can't do anything. They both try to go on, but it's hard for how obvious they are trying to hide it.
