That you think I’d let you get out of bed in the morning” Finnick smirked stepping so close to her he was practically breathing on her skin as he curled his index finger under her chin to raise her head to look into her eyes. She was such a rare beauty. Innocent eyes and soft skin. Let it be known that for the first time in years his heart fluttered not for the rich bed partners that attempted to sway his favor with sometimes extremely expensive gifts but for a girl as humble and simple as he had grown.

 “No, sweetie. I will make you breakfast in bed. You’ll need the extra rest” 

A little smile as he stroked her chin with his thumb and freed her from his grasp. 

“Don’t be late. I hate waiting even for someone as beautiful as you” he remarks and walked away with a hidden smile. 

The next few hours the Victor would stare at his clock waiting to hear the door knock in anticipation.

Everyone was focused on other things, less important things. There was a pain that could not be ridded of just by SHOVING it to the back of her mind. She was loosing h o p e.
