• • • Anime Expedition #5 // She & Her Cat: Everything Flows enre: Psychological, Romance, Slice of Life Source: Kissanime Ohhhhhh! Finally! After watching this everything is perfectly clear now. So, I think the original version was really incomplete for some reason Idk and this version explains everything from it... ( See 1999 version ). I must say this version is much lighter than the original bc it has colors and it was clearly narrated. It really touches you the est 30min episodes is enough for you to cry... This is amazing. I never knew I would be quite fond with animals now and their thoughts.

As for the Cat's viewpoint His journey as a cat and his owner is enough for him. Tho he didnt understand what she's saying, he loves her so much. He cares for her as much as she cares for him and it is the most saddest part, when you wanted to comfort each other but its impossible. As for Miyu's viewpoint (the girl) This represents us, teenagers or young adults, that we strive for ourselves to survive reality. We try to live on our own, tho we didnt know what awaits us out there. But what she did is very 'matured-like'. In the end, what awaits us out there is nothing but reality itself.

A big round of applause for Makoto Shinkai it is. He did it again, so much love for this guy

• • • Anime Expedition #4 // She & Her Cat: Their Standing Points enre: Psychological, Romance, Slice of Life Source: Kissanime Im down with Makoto Shinkai marathon. So, Ive had trouble with this because this one was 1999 version with only 1 episode and the other one is the 2016 version with 4 episodes. ( See 2016 version )

So this is just very light with the cat's point of view. This version is black and white but the animation is very good. Actually, I thought of this as a pet loving his owner. Its such a cozy idea with a very warm scenario, but a mysterious one. Maybe because it wasnt finish or the ending is just like that. But, if you happen to see Makoto Shinaki's work, I think it is probably his style when making an animation: "To leave the viewers hanging. To make their own ending." This one is very beautiful, imagine the cat as a human who adores his partner so much. But the thing is, the ending is quite sad for me tho. Idk but it feels like the owner is abandoning the cat, like she's going to a far place. You'd be very confused when you hear the words, "Someone...help me."

Makoto Shinkai fans should watch this.

• • • Anime Expedition #3 // Blossom Genre: Music, Movie Source: Kissanime This is dedicated or commemoration to Japan's 3/11 disaster and to those who were affected.

I actually shed a tear at the end of it, it's very heartwarming sensation. One of the scenes I like the most is, when the angel asked if God is real? I don't know but it is very cliche for us, people, in times of this tragedy to question everything. "Why is this happening?". This film let us know that we shouldn't lose hope, that we must go on with our lives. There are times when we suffer and got hurt, but that's part of life... to keep the world balanced. Also, I like scene where the angels are like talking to God like they're begging to help the people, to save them from everything, to give them life. It is very touching, especially the ending.

RIP to the victims. Let us continue life, full of hope and love.

• • • Anime Expedition #2 // Adventures in Beauty Wonderland Genre: Dementia, Movie Source: Kissanime Okay, Okay! So this is just a coincidence while Im browing the list in the site. I just want to let you know, guys that there were only list of the animes and previews will only show if you hover on them. The title is enough to catch my attention and to my surprise, it is another short film of Dementia just like the 0:08. I might tell you guys, this gets weirder and weirder. IDK why? Anyway, let's give it a shot...

While watching the video, a quote comes in my mind: "There's more to this than meets the eye" With all the weird stuffs I've seen I want to describe it like that. There's some sort of like Illuminati and stuff. There's Vincent van Gogh, there's lipsticks..all in one weird combination. For me, I think it portrays to something like a girl who lives underneath her make up just to meet the world's expectations and standards. That everything will be beautiful when there's more color in it. I swear, this is pure art and creepy stuff.

I feel a little dizzy right now because of its animation. But it was rather good, in a weird way. So, what do you think?

• • • Anime Expedition #1 // 0:08 Genre: Dementia, Movie Source: Kissanime A 5min video with an 8 sec animation loop but rather distorts as it goes on. At first, I think of this as weird and creepy random video but as soon as it distorts, it become clear that it is rather an "Art".

In my 1st opinion, the creator was trying to express vividly about his feelings when he's bored and just happen to sit there and drink a cup of coffee. It happens to me a lot, when I just stare at space and think of anything I could possibly think of. My 2nd opinion, I think the imagination of the guy just went crazy as he sips on the mug. It kinda gives him some sort of ecstacy. Whether he's high on caffeine or just drunk or took some drugs that he's imagining different sorts of creatures. And it kinda makes me sad for some reasons.

Nevertheless, this is a good experience to test myself on how I see things. But whether my opinions might be different from its real definition, I hope I made such an impression with it. And let me know about it... So, what do you think of 0:08?

Anime Expedition

Since I dont have anything to do on these days, I decided to have an anime expedition. For the next 4 days, I'll be watching random anime movies/ shortfilms brought to us by Kissanime. After watching, Ill be sharing some thoughts about that movie, just so you know to express more about how I feel with it.
