Message from the Crows
A lot of people are uncomfortable with crows because they wear both their divinity and their shadow as they go through life. Their black feathers protect them from the elements and from the intense energies they navigate.
They are messengers & balancers, scavengers and opportunists. In short, crows are expert survivors.
Humans and crows are very similar in these ways, although humans have demonized these neutral qualities.
The crows began working with me at a deeper level when I moved to this area of Pennsylvania where I currently live. It is dark and cold and located on my pluto line. It is a challenging place to live that requires a high level of self respect, awareness, and protection. Crows are among the many spirits of place who I honor here.
Many of us are being called (or pushed) to our next level of growth right now and the process feels chaotic & uncertain. I’ve spoken to folks who are under attack spiritually, physically (or both), fighting illness or parasites, or feeling totally overwhelmed. You’re not alone. Your spiritual team & ancestors are begging you to listen to their guidance. Spirit has isolated a lot of folks from their escapist tendencies. This is a part of a bigger plan. I’m seeing my old cross country coach in high school challenging the team to endurance exercises that nobody wanted to do –the same exercises that made race day feel easy in comparison.
We are being asked to navigate the blind spots in our personal practices. Every spirituality has blind spots, liminal spaces, & areas of fear and uncertainty. These are the areas it’s important not to flee from or try to fill up. They exist to forge a sense of trust in the self, the ability to discern, and connect beyond distractions.
Yesterday I watched a single crow fight a hawk. I videoed the end of their encounter. Though its flock was far away, the crow wouldn’t let up its attack until the hawk flew in the opposite direction from the others. There was no fear even though it was alone; the crow led the hawk away on purpose because it trusted its own power and abilities.
Negative forces are tireless. Full commitment to your purpose is in order. 🔥
