Is Florabelle a human or is she part flower cuz I don’t see her ears lol.
Also what species is Bryon I’m losing sleep over this-
Mmmm I was writing this and I switched tabs and it erased all my writing. I’m pissed asl
Anyways. All Wilders— unless very clearly specified— are in some part animal. The extent of the animal’s physical attributes will vary.
Florabelle and her students seem to be “petalia” or “petalium.” That’s the name they’re given in her skill descriptions at least. They’re probably mixed with an Esperian animal
Most of the wilders are some kind of ambiguous mix of an animal’s defining features plus a human. The Maulers get more specific with it— Brutus is a lion, Smokey is a meerkat, etc. We know Lorsan and Lyca are bunnies, buuuuttt that’s it.
Bryon doesn’t have the features of a hawk like Elona. My first impression based on his long, fluffy, upwards-pointing ears, is a fox or maybe lynx of some kind. Not really related to his bird-ness, but birds don’t really have the need for protruding ears like mammals. Aerodynamics or something
Lynx would probably be my theory since they look the most similar, and would also make sense with how sensitive his hearing is.
TLDR; Florabella is “petalila” and Bryon looks like he’s probably a Lynx?
Other theories are welcome because I’m far from an animal expert
The dog i am dogsitting has just realized there is another living thing in my room (Bartimaeus) and she is freaking out very confused while Bart could not give two shits.
Animals are so fucking beautiful it makes me want to cry. What do you mean rabbits are just that naturally fluffy? What do you mean they still evolved with claws to defend themselves?
And cats. Do I even need to elaborate? They are so different from us but in a lot of ways, so similar. They can sense different things than us, they are quadruped, they need food, water, they breathe the same air we do, they thrive in a good home.
My dog just sTOOD ON MY THROAT AND IT HURT
I feel you my g. I have a cat that loves to step on my ribs and/or boobs
that thing when your pet rests just their head on your leg or arm instead of curling it into/onto their own body while they sleep is the cutest shit in the world
If you think animals can't be as dramatic as humans, let me tell you a story.
When my mother was growing up she and her family had many different cats. And one of these cats was named Susana. Susana would always get pregnant from the same cat. Susana also did not like giving birth alone. If you left the room while she was giving birth, she would get up and follow you. With her body giving birth and all.
Not only that, but one time Susana got pregnant from a different cat. And after the babies were born, Susana's basically husband snuck into my mother's house and murdered all her children.
So yeah, aside from being petty and giving you odd looks, animals can be pretty damn dramatic.
