((BECK OMG I WOULD HAVE LIKE HELD YOU LOVINGLY AS YOU DIED

Busy? How so?
I said boring. And because no one's been around to adventure with! You can only explore an island so many times by yourself.
How have you been, Slight? You and Peter catch any more bears?
Unfortunately, no. S'been pretty boring 'round here lately.

Slightly pushed aside the leaf to peer in. Beck was inside, lying down and motionless as before. Her light was painfully dim. His heart dropped when he heard her murmur his name and he knew Peter wouldn't approve of it, but he reached inside to pick her up gently. Holding her in his hands, he walked over to sit against the wall.
"Hi," he said simply, his voice empty. "You're s'posed to be feeling better now. But I guess you're not."
Deathbed
Slightly nearly landed face-first on the ground when he landed, then scrambled to sprint to his tree. “Beck!” he called out, a little too hopefully, as he dashed out into the main room. “We did it, we got John to say he believed again!” There was no response. The home was silent and eerily dark. All the lanterns had gone out and the only light was a soft glow coming from Tink’s room. His smile faded. He trotted over and tapped his knuckles on the wood. “…Hallo?”
