HEY

I just posted my first ever animated short on my art account and I would really appreciate it if you guys would check it out :)

Its a navajo folktale about how the milky-way was created by the coyote trickster, Ma'ii who got impatient and tossed the stars up all at once.

Ive been working on this project for about 2 and a half months with all the character designs and backgrounds and the actual animation (animating is hell) but now its done:)))

Rambles

Every now and again, I get the ‘art college blues’.

Art school was way too pricey for me, and so really right now I’m teaching myself animation, and mostly just getting a general education at my local college.

But sometimes I feel... inadequate? Or like I’m missing out of an experience. That I need to be in those buildings lined cintiqs. That’s I must have teachers that have been in the field for decades.

Like I need that to be vaild. To be good enough. It feels kinda lonely sometimes.

I think a lot of young artists see the art college experience and are pushed to feel this way. But over the course of the last couple months I only feel that every once in a while.

That anxiety I felt melting into a drive to push myself harder towards my future.

If someone else is going through this, I’ve got you. We both got this.

Doing this animation is making me get so many more grey hairs.

But hey at least its almost done. Only 2 sequences left

Just spent the past half hour trying to fix my inbetween frames for a 1 second sequence, not realising i had drop frames on which was making it run faster but look like doo doo farts.

This animation degree is gonna end me
