Can't recommend Win or Lose enough. I went into the series with low spectatives because the trailers didn't convince me much but I had a really great time with it.

Animation fans out there will really enjoy this one I think, it's full of life almost movie quality and the music gives it a ton of personality, I don't see often the music playing this much with the characters and atmosphere so it was a neat surprise. I think there's a different ending song for each episode?

I know there's this big controversy about deleting the trans storyline, but the trans character is still trans, it's just not directly said, which it's probably not the creators' fault and most likely Disney's (we know how they are.)

Also wasn't expecting some other mature themes or words you don't expect in these kind of series, like drugs is straight up mentioned lol. There's divorce, christianity, etc. Very refreshing overall.

Still laughing at a chinese movie beating Disney in the box office and a latvian movie with low budget and done in open source with no dialogue beating them in the oscars. I love happy endings.

I just saw someone say that you shouldn't criticize board artists or animators because they "work like slaves" and this is from an industry professional. What is stupid about this is if don't point this out than their time and scheduling problem WILL NEVER GET FIXED. Nobody is saying you are awful for an off model scene, we just want more care put into it which includes YOU GETTING MORE TIME TO DO THIS. They are being so contradictory wtf

animators work their asses off so damn much and are barely compensated for the hard work they do put in.

they need to be treated much better than how they’re being treated right now, and that’s something that has to change. if you treat your workers/partners better, the product will look much much better! there’s a lot more time and care put into the project!

A pro board artist wrote a great thread on twitter (avengedog) and is getting a lot of arrogant risponces, even people doubting they work in the industry. Others are being pressured into shutting up or they'll get blacklisted like wtf is going on... IT'S JUST CRITICISM

are people seriously saying this person is gonna get blacklisted for criticism? but pedophiles that work on kid shows can 100% totally stay because they’re not “hurting the industry” at all, riiiiight?!

gods, this is very irritating. a storyboard artist decides to say, “hey… maybe they shouldn’t change size every time the scene changes” and so many people jump out and scream, “IT’S CREATIVE FREEDOM!”

Music anon (im back but nobody remembers me haha): omg some of those on twitter are attacking other professionals wtf... and even kids too. Like it's opinions people. Like at my music school I got critiqued by kids 5-8 years younger than me. These people need to get their heads out of their asses. Encourage aspiring artists don't fucking make fun of them or treat them as lower than you.. or threaten them with BLACKLISTING

yeah, and the sad thing here is that’s it’s incredibly common to see this kinda stuff happen within animation. it’s very easy to play off criticism with hate because artists have often just gotten “it’s shit lol” instead of actual ways to improve their style, or they really just don’t want to hear and criticism. 

criticism can actually help an artist with improving their styles and storytelling, but some people always consider it to be hate thrown towards the artist.

A bunch of storyboard artists are making posts defending su's off model approach and it's getting really dumb. Like I legit saw "if you hate off model you hate artistic freedom!!!" and "stop being model sheet whores lol" or just blocking those who disagree. It's pretty disappointing since I looked up to these people but they just can't take criticism i guess... (at least some were more rational)

i’m really sorry about that, anon. that’s honestly really upsetting.
