Though a bit less interesting to some, here are the next steps that were taken in creating “Mr. Buttons”. The first image is Keith’s “Frankenstein” pass from the previous post. Next to it in red are my ideas and tweaks. Then we move on to some color variations and finally the T-Pose drawings to begin building the actual CG model that some of you guys have worked with over the last few years. So, way back in 2013 (add gasp of shock here) I was approached by Keith Osborn with the opportunity to create a design for a character called Mr. Buttons. Keith was writing a book at the time “Cartoon Character Animation with Maya: Mastering the Art of Exaggerated Animation” and needed a character to model and rig for those purposes.
