This poignant drawing by Ollie Johnston, shows that sometimes just a single pose can tell everything there is to know about a character and its situation. ||--------------------------------------||
For animators, the importance of posing can’t be overstated. It’s one of the key components that define this art form in terms of performance, appeal and story telling.
POSE TO POSE
- It's my first trial for an Animation clip in Autodesk Maya. - Participated in MAAC 24FPS 3D Character Animation. - Pose to Pose Key. - Facial Expression Key. - Reference from Cars movie clip.
Hello peeps🙂 someone asked me about how long it takes to hold on a pose to make it register to the viewers. The video shows the different key poses with different timing. It usually takes from 6 frames to 18 frames. It all matters to what you the animators want. (don’t forget, you can always break the rules) This is just an average. The still drawings show how long the process were held for.(how many frames). Also note that there are no over shoots in the video, but it still works. The stills have a number with an X on the right hand sid, that mean how long and how many frames it was shot on. I would love to take credit for this knowledge, but I learned the from the Great Eric Goldberg! I highly recommend his book “Character Animation Crash Course “ and Richard Williams “The Animators Survival Kit” to all the aspiring animators out there. If you read and study them, it will make the process much easier. I hope this helps and draw, draw, draw and draw🙂🙂✏️✏️✏️✏️. #animate #animator #animation #animationart #animationposes #learnanimation #trumpsadick
