Video of a Cricket Singing!
I’ve been meaning to upload this for months!
Back in July, we went to Sardinia for a holiday! On the last night we were there, me, my brother, and my sister went out to explore the massive garden! It was very dark and there were lots of noisy insects! I really wanted to find a singing Cricket because I’d never actually seen one sing before, so, using our phone’s torches for light, we searched for one!
After a long time of searching (we saw many insects in that time, but nothing that made a noise), we came across a bush which had several crickets in! They stopped singing whenever we shone the light on them, so we waited in the darkness, then, as soon as one started, we filmed! Eventually, I filmed this video!
It’s kinda hard to see, but in the centre, you can kind of make it out vibrating its bum (or wings?) in time with the sound! (it’s filmed in portrait because it was for Snapchat! Sorry:p)
I HAVE FOUND THE BEST WEBSITE EVER AND I’M GOING TO SPEND THE REST OF MY LIFE READING IT OVER AND OVER!!!
