You divided We with your mental clusterfuckery of old and imagined hymns of dead lovers; lovers who left you in the sea with a shark like me.
And I and I are left with the pieces of a toy rail car collision, a formally fashioned plastic box that smacked into the grease splattered walls of a well-worn kitchen.
You have created a Great Divide between Us, an Entity that was once a thriving Nation State, governed by our mind and our heart and our courage.
You have created an open frontier of sleaze, filth, and sordid desires; and I and I are living in the once lucrative land that used to host a chair in a room that we made our own. Land made a wildebeest out of you, and a mighty forest out of me. This was your joy and your sorrow.
Once invaded, once tamed, the forest became a separate wilderness in those starving eyes and you fled to the sea.
Diving back into the sea, your skin became engulfed in something more familiar than your sense of purpose that you called Esteem, and I called Doubt.
You are not to blame; neither am I. It was the Destiny we Manifested within and with out…ward thoughts became sour expressions, sounded in a less than delightful fashion, and heard, and executed by a benevolent Jester.
Within the Great Divide, my home was left unprotected to flattering tongues and thieving birds; they pecked and picked and puckered my home. I was thrust out and rushed to the body from whence I came.
Now this Forest of trees has returned to the sea, to become the shark hunting for life blood that smells like your Love and to drown in sweet memories of The Great Divide.
