➳   Running away was her choice, and her choice only. She left behind everything, her parents, her friends, her life. Nikki wanted to see the world, wanted to be her own person, wanted to break from the life she was born to live. So she did, and she never looked back. Now though she did spend her time traveling, but her main focus was on killing the Templars, and lately it had been her only focus.

Which had brought her to her current situation, stalking her prey from the rooftops as they walked on unaware. Long enough that when they finally turned down a empty street she jumps, taking them down witch her ever so gracefully. In one swift motion she's brought her knife from it's sheathe and slit the templars throat. Resheathing the blade she takes one last glance around from under her hood and takes off once again.

It was a chilly morning in the city of Rome, Italy, the blonde woman was walking along the plaza taking in the sights and looking for an italian bar. She needed some coffee to start her morning properly. Taking a few days off had been a marvelous idea after Stark had offered to let her in one of his many summer residences; she had always liked Italy and spoke some italian, not much but enough. The inside of the bar was hectic, people were shouting their orders and it was a miracle that any of them were being attended. 

"Un caffè ristretto per favore." 

Once she was properly caffeinated, she decided to resume her walk around the city. At least on this side of the world nobody had any idea who she was, not at first glance anyways, she was just another american tourist. There was no superhero, no Captain Marvel, just a very ordinary Carol Danvers who was dying to fly and had to keep containing herself.

A few blocks later, there was some type of commotion, the ex agent wished to have the ability to just keep walking, but she couldn't, it went against everything she believed in. Squeezing her through the crowd, she managed to get to the front of the lines, where there was some kind of fight taking place. A man was surrounded by several black hooded figures, but he seemed to be doing okay. Still, she needed to do something.

"Let us even the odds." 

Carol stepped right in the middle of the fight.
