I’m just reminded of that one interview with the Weasley cast and the interviewer asked if/how they tell James and Oliver apart, and Bonnie Wright was basically like bitch I could tell them apart from half a mile away with the same clothes and haircut take several seats

     “Y’see, when I showed you how to tell if a door is Imperturbed, I didn’t think you would throw TWO DOZEN Dungbombs at our door.”

     Tonks had respected the children’s desire to eavesdrop on Order meetings. They were desperate to know what the adults were doing && to be treated as adults themselves            ( merlin knows the children were exposed to enough ‘ adult ’ things already ). They were clever, too - enough so that the Order had begun placing the Imperturbable Charm on the kitchen door, to prevent anyone hearing something they were not supposed to.

     So, Tonks had thought - what harm would it do - to tell Ginny how to see if a door was Imperturbed. Nothing FANCY - just a trick Tonks had learned for herself. Ginny was curious after all, && the girl was a fast-learner. Tonks could tell that much.

     “The entire entryway reeks, and the odor seeped into the carpet. Not to mention, you all nearly incapacitated us with the stench after the meeting finished.” Her tone, though stern, is relatively light - Tonks left it to Molly to give the kids a tongue-lashing.

     “... though, I will give you credit - the look on Severus’ face was hilarious. Might have enjoyed it more if my eyes didn’t start burning.”
