Spiritual leader and Katha Vachak Aniruddhacharya Ji Maharaj has responded to the uproar caused by a viral video clip, stating that his comments were taken out of context and deliberately edited to defame him and discredit Hindu saints.
“Only a 30-second clip is being circulated, while the full video is over six minutes,” he said in an interview. He admitted that a phrase in local dialect ("mukh maarna") may have sounded harsh but claimed it was meant to describe characterlessness in society, not target any group.
Claims of Targeted Attacks on Hindu Saints
Aniruddhacharya alleged that this is not just about his words but part of a broader “systematic opposition to Sanatan Dharma” and those who speak in its defense. He noted that even respectful saints like Premanand Ji Maharaj have faced online trolling.
“It’s not about the words—it’s about silencing saints,” he said.
Sharp Critique of Bollywood & Cultural Decay
He launched a direct attack on Bollywood, accusing the film industry of mocking Hindu culture while promoting pan masala and live-in relationships.
“When I speak about values, I get trolled. But actors selling gutkha or disrespecting Lord Krishna face no backlash. That’s hypocrisy.”
He referenced the popular saying “Tum karo to Rasleela, hum karein to character dheela” to highlight the double standards in public discourse.
"Dharma Under Attack" Message Gains Momentum
The spiritual leader reiterated that his statements were grounded in scriptures and meant to urge both men and women to uphold strong moral character. He challenged critics to attend satsangs of revered saints like Changur Baba for better understanding.
Political Reaction and His Response
When asked about political leaders like Akhilesh Yadav criticizing him, Aniruddhacharya responded,
“The real question isn’t about how saints speak—it's why saints are being opposed at all.”
He maintained that Sanatan Dharma has always uplifted women and blamed historical invasions for distorting its image.
